Visiting artists- those that speak

In the last few months I have been listening. Listening to the beautiful rhythm of the spoken word as it rises and falls with every breath and heartbeat. Poets. Poets, the very word. Poets, who have in the space of six months, calibrated and realigned me to the importance of the spoken, written, whispered, imagined word.  Humans probably laughed before they spoke, before they wrote. We all speak and laugh, we share; so take a leap of faith. Go to your local venue, I’ve been visiting in Torquay, and sit at the back, like I did; sit nearer the front, like I do. Take part, like I have; poets; listen.
